King's is one of the oldest and largest colleges of the University of London with 13,800 undergraduate students and some 5,300 postgraduates in nine schools of study. Saville Audio Visual was chosen to supply integrated presentation facilities at three separate campuses, including the Wolfson Theatre at the Weston Education Centre in Denmark Hill, south London. The Campus is part of a working hospital and accommodates part of the King’s Healthcare NHS Trust.
Used by many visiting lecturers and conference organisers, the Wolfson Theatre has been equipped with a fully integrated AV system featuring rear projection on an 8 metre-wide custom-built Saville screen. Operation is designed to be extremely simple and intuitive, from a neat Crestron controller let into the top of the bespoke Saville lectern. The lectern provides laptop inputs with a TFT monitor and an integral rack housing the source equipment.

We installed a large Weyel column board system in the historic King’s building in The Strand, the founding campus of King’s College, comprising rise and fall chalk writing surfaces combined with a bespoke Saville projection screen.
Individual chalk boards are also mounted at either side, providing a large writing area for traditional lectures and teaching sessions.
The room illustrated includes a ceiling mounted projector, motorised projection screen and sound system plus a wall-mounted rail system. The stackable conference chairs feature lift-off writing tablets which can be used either right or left handed.
