Canon leads in medical digital imaging

In medical imaging, very fine differences in colour gradation in images such as X-rays and ultrasound scans can be crucial to the correct diagnosis and medical processes. The Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard incorporates an internationally recognised set of colour values for greyscale medical images.

Canon XEED WUX10

Canon has worked to create a solution that internally calibrates XEED projectors to be DICOM-compliant. These projectors can then be used in medical image projection environments including diagnosis, medical training and patient review meetings.
