Rainbow House was founded in 2001 by Joanne Mawdsley, herself the mother of two disabled children. The charity helps children with disabilities to lead more independent lives through a range of education services and therapies. These include Conductive Education, a unified system of rehabilitation for children with neurological disorders like cerebral palsy and other genetic conditions.
Joanne has won awards for her community work, winning patronage from many TV personalities plus sponsorship support from Manchester United, Moto, Clarins and Hilton Hotels.
Group Technical Manager Colin Etchells and the team presented the cheque at the company's new, larger premises in Trafford Park. Colin said: "One of our own young managers, Christian Spragg had to leave work to become a full time carer for his daughter Ilaria, when his wife tragically died giving birth two years ago. Ilaria developed cerebral palsy and The Legacy Rainbow House has been brilliant in helping him to cope and come to terms with a challenging future."
Joanne Mawdsley said: "We are very grateful to Saville and looking forward to building a long term partnership with the team at Manchester."
