Saville sponsors at The Conference Awards

The inaugural Conference Awards were held in London on 25 June and attracted 400 conference professionals from across the industry. Over 120 entries were submitted for the sixteen award categories and nineteen judges had the difficult task of assessing the winners. The winners came from all types of conference organisers – large and small, pure conference companies, media companies and associations reflecting the depth and breadth of the industry.

Saville sponsored the award for the Best Use of Technology, won by LexsNexis for their Dispute Resolution (DR) Webinars Series. The award was presented by Saville Conference Account Manager, Carl Holland (L) with the help of Ruby Wax (2nd from R)!

Saville’s £8k run over The Rainbow

A team of Saville runners – generously supported and accompanied by many suppliers - raised a prodigious £8000 for children’s charity The Legacy Rainbow House, by taking part in the BUPA Great Manchester 10k Run.

The Saville effort was coordinated by Group Installation Manager Colin Etchells, who presented the cheque to Rainbow House founder Jo Mawdsley at a post-race gathering in Pizza Express.

Colin said: “A great day! It appears everyone enjoyed it although I know there were aches and pains - me included. Thanks for the fantastic support – I’ll be in touch to see if we can do even better next year!”

Joining the team was ex-Saville Manchester sales support, Christian Spragg, whose daughter Ilaria has cerebral palsy and is brilliantly supported by Rainbow House. The charity helps disabled children to help themselves through Conductive Education, a unified system of rehabilitation for children with neurological disorders like cerebral palsy.

Quadra Concepts

Saville to sell Quadra

Saville Audio Visual is the first reseller to market Quadra, the remarkable new modular videoconferencing facility unveiled at ISE 2010 in Amsterdam.

Quadra is a freestanding, fully equipped, modular AV room system which attracted international attention at the ISE exhibition. Able to be installed and operational within 48 hours, Quadra creates instant space for video conference meetings in comfort and privacy, simply requiring an Internet connection and a power supply to be fully operational – no structural work is required.

Its sleek and durable design is sound-proof, temperature controlled and can be finished in company branding or corporate colour schemes. Quadra can fit within any environment and is available with integral floor and solid ceiling options.

Saville technical services manager, Colin Etchells said: “Quadra can be pre-equipped with the client’s choice of AV equipment and furniture. It provides a premium quality facility and a very viable alternative to building a permanent, dedicated video conferencing suite.” Quadra is also ideal for use as a control room or crisis management facility and its unique footprint enables two, three or four units to be neatly grouped together.
